To Trust and To Believe

What do you consider trustworthy?

How hard do you need to work to earn your salary by the end of the month?
Then, suddenly, someone appears on your screen — or even at your doorstep — and tells you a story about passive income or investments that could make you rich.

It triggers something inside you. Who doesn’t want to be rich? Who doesn’t want passive income? Everyone wants to spend more time with family and have fun.

This is the first emotional trigger that makes you believe.

Believing is intangible. It’s a feeling that grows within you, influenced by external factors.

For example, believing in God is something that stirs you internally. Who doesn’t want to feel accepted and guided? Everyone wants to believe that life has meaning and that everything happens for a reason.

That’s what believing is. It’s a choice.

If you choose to believe the Earth is flat, no matter what evidence is presented, you’ll feel deeply convinced when explaining your belief to someone else.

Trust is a part of believing. Once you believe, you trust. But trust can be deceptive and cruel.

This is because trust has two sides. When you trust, you trust someone or something. However, if the other party doesn’t trust you to the same degree, there may be no real trust at all.

Falling for a scam is a profound experience. It’s rooted in the veins of trust that run through your entire being. Trust is such a powerful emotion that it can be felt “in your bones,” creating a hostile environment for anyone who dares to cross its boundaries.

People are willing to cooperate toward a common mission. Human beings can only unite around something they collectively believe in.

When a scam is being carried out, the scammer is always thinking about how to gain trust in order to manipulate.

Victims of scams often feel ashamed because that’s the emotion that follows being betrayed by someone or something that broke the bond of trust.

A bond is something created in the imagination, based on trust. This connection opens the door to manipulation.

How can someone be manipulation-proof? By not trusting. But how can you live without trusting anyone or anything? You can’t.

Trust is part of our everyday lives, and it’s one of the hardest things to navigate. Trust is the gatekeeper of secrets, valuables, and intimacy.

Are you aware of everything you trust and believe? Check for vulnerabilities in your system that bad actors could exploit.
